Farmers Market

Another big first in Lucy's life - her exposure to the Minneapolis Farmers Market. She doesn't realize it yet, but Ken will be dragging us here every weekend. He can't get enough of this place. We walk around and around, pick up plants, looks at veggies and dodge the crowds. More often than not, we don't really come home with anything. He just likes to go and 'look'. But always, on the first visit of the year, we come back with loads of stuff, and eagerly chip away the ice chips from the dirt to plant. It took us years to learn, but planting tomatoes in April (no matter how big the plant), just doesn't work in Minnesota. This year, all we had to show for our inaugural visit was a small container of raspberries that were grown in Mexico and this picture.
